This Feels more like a bad Britney Spears video compilation than a actual game.1/10: Icarus has fallen and you will feel like a dead Rat when you finish this game. It was not what i was expecting. I buy games to have some sort of fun and choice about what happens in the game, but in this 'game' you can beat the levels by just sitting there. it's more like a compilation of random episodes, and completely not atmospheric and somewhat strange music. If you are trying to test your endurance of a game, this would be it. the levels are repetitive and bland. i would not recommend it though, with many other better games out there.. an interesting experemint though not captivating as the original it still manages to be sureal within it's own messageplay it or don't you will either get it or not. this is the best game i have played since 1970 its so amazing you wont even belive it i would give it a 11 / 10. I highly enjoyed the first deus ex machina. I decided to keep and open mind to the second game after looking at the reviews. (I bought the obbsesive collective bundle) Here are some of my comparisons and opinions about this game1. The games visuals have been raised from a ZX Spectrum to an actual graphical level. (But are still garbage. 3 talks about this more)2. The music in the 1st game is somehow better than the 2nd!3. The visuals in the 2nd are like a bad acid trip.4. I really wanted to say good things about this game but there is really nother to say.5. The one and only good things about this game is the fact that in the first deus ex machina. I didn't understand what the electronic voice said when he asked "What is the wet thing on my cheek". In the first game it sounds like this czczczcczczczczczzcczczczc. In the second, I can hear perfectly that she said "It's a tear". This is the one good thing about this game. And it was caused by my lack of hearing. Good job...in my opinon. Deus ex machina gets a 3\/10-If you really want to play this game. Go ahead. Just make sure play the first. So you know which one is better.. This is one of the most toughest recommendations I've made on Steam. Deus Ex Machina 2 is the sequel to the anicent retro game people barely seen or heard Deus Ex Machina for the XZ Spectrum and C64 only to come out as one of the first games to use it's audio to be fused with the gameplay which was extremely rare and unheard of at the time. The games' lead character is an human looking character who is considered a defect which the player loosey controls. The game is very very VERY linear! So linear that it feels almost pointless playing the game. What saves the game are the varities of levels which all are different in terms of how they look with the lead character quickly 'growing up' as the game presents the character aging process (Not in real time of course, pre-made for show). The game forces itself as soon as you boot the same. Very linear game, once your in, no way out. No save states, save points, reloads, whatever. Just a game which acts like a presentive jukebox. Overpriced? I don't know! Alot of work did go into the games graphics, models, lighting and gameplay but that's really about it.. DEUS EX MACHINA 2 is a very unique experience, more than a game with all levels staged and you can certainly move the charater from pre-birth as swiming sperm all the way to an old man in a wheelchair as you experience his life long journey of enlightenment but ultimately will not make any difference if you interact or just watch it as it goes through 7 chapters of a life. The music and voice acting in Deus Ex Machina 2 is where it shines with voice actors of Ian Dury and Christopher Lee playing a role in this surreal game. I enjoyed this experience.. A beautiful work of art.
